As the actions of this book began in the 18 century, we could see a real life in English province. Life as it really was. This book caused a lot of arguments in that time because it exposed plenty of problems which were hidden before.
There were two huge houses Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. The author described every trifle of these houses, and with the help of these descriptions we could see the way of life of english people. We could feel a heat of the fireplace, a glitter of the dishes.... The author also reconstituted the Yorkshire dialect, which we could see in the speech of Joseth. The life of english province seemed us not as the idyll, but as confrontation of passion people.
And also people were very interested in spirits and ghosts in that time and Bronte included them in her story too. Without these mysterious fragments the book would lose her charm.
Also we could see a climate of England, it's heather-covered moors and fields, wet climate, changes of seasons. Even the name of the main character reflect it - Heathcliff - means heather-covered rock.
So, the spirit of England penetrated all the book.

Masha, I will give you 5 out of 5 for observations. But with some examples it would be much better, for exampple when you speak about dialects.
