Hello, my dear diary! I'm so glad! Now I have a real paper book instead of it's electronic version. So I can read it as much as I want and don't care about eyesight so much.
So, with the first pages we made the acquaintance of the main characters:
Heathcliff ( The holder of the Wuthering Heights, very gloomy man),
Mr Lockwood (the man who began the story and continued to tell it for us),
Ellen (Nelly) Dean (this woman was the second and primary narrator, she was a parlourmaid in the house of another characters and knew everything).
With the very beginning we meet an old, enormous, charming and magic place - the Wuthering Heights. Almost all events took place in this house.
The narrator of the story asked Mr Heathcliff to rent the house , but he met with abnormal cruelty,spite,pessimism,taciturnity and gloominess of the holder and other habitants of this house. And the narrator raised the question of the cause of this behaviour. Of course, I raised this question too. What could provoke to behave people in this way? May be it was a big loss or cruelty of surrounded people?Сraving for revenge or resentment?
On all these questions the narrator and I are going to answer. But I tell you about it a bit later.
